We are Get The Gas. We're a website run by a group of individuals (Gregory Yates, Emily Melon & Alice Barrett, with website support from Laura Barrett) based in England. In this privacy notice we will refer to ourselves as 'we', 'us' or 'our'.

Information collected on this website and applications we use

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way.

When you use the educational materials on this website, as part of the process, we collect your e-mail address in order to send your test results and answer feedback. If you contact us via e-mail or our 'Contact Us' form, we will use the e-mail you provide us with to respond. In summary, we collect this personal information (e-mail address) for the following reasons:

  1. To provide and operate the services offered by Get The Gas
  2. To provide our users with ongoing assistance and technical support

Your e-mail address will be used for the specific reasons stated above only. We use Gmail to send you your results via your email address. Their privacy policy can be found here

Your quiz responses will be stored on a database provided by AWS. Your email address will be converted to a irreversible, unique code prior to entry so is not directly stored on this database.

Our website does not collect cookies or IP addresses. If there are changes to the information collected about your visit to our website, we will update it in this Privacy Policy.

We do not process any transactions ourselves but accept donations using the third party, Ko-fi. Ko-fi usesPayPal and Stripe. Ko-fi's Privacy Notice can be found here. We do not collect any special information (as defined in 'Definitions') or relating to criminal convictions or offences.

We may need to share your personal information with other organisations or people. This may include third parties who are not part of our group. Depending on the circumstances, the organisations or people who we share your personal information with will be acting as either Data Processors or Data Controllers. Where we share your personal information with a Data Processor we will ensure they respect the security of your information.

We do not sell or trade any of the personal information you have provided us with.
